The preemption rollback bill, HB 1178, remains in the House of Representatives. To educate legislators and ensure the bill does not move forward, NPMA and the CPCA Board of Directors launched a calling campaign to specific Colorado legislators to educate lawmakers on the negative impacts of local control. Should the status of this bill change, CPCA is well-positioned to oppose the bill in the Senate, and the organization has been hard-at-work over the past few months laying the groundwork for a robust opposition strategy in the upper chamber.
